Bowling For Equality A Big Hit

2008 Bowling for EqualityCloverleaf Lanes in Independence was packed with about 130 bowlers on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, for HRC Cleveland's annual Bowling For Equality event.

The event was organized by HRC Cleveland Membership and Community Events Co-Chairs Adam Oppenheim and Joe Ward and sponsored by Colliers Ostendorf-Morris and Bob Menner & Joe Ward.

Adam Oppenheim said, "Our bowling event has grown year after year. There was a large mix of people this year with many new faces. This event provides a much different type of event for our community, which I believe adds to its success."

"The bowling night continues to grow in popularity as does the recognition of HRC as the political organization supporting the GLBT causes in Cleveland and nationwide," said Joe Ward.

One repeat bowler mentioned, "My friends and I look forward to the HRC Bowling for Equality night each year. The event brings in people from all spectrums of the community, and there is always a surprising variety of skill levels. I don't remember my score, but I will
remember the cheering and laughter for a long time."

The next Membership and Community Events program will be the 3rd Annual Golf Outing and Fundraiser at Sweetbriar
Golf Course.
